MiniCruises continue to be one of our most popular breaks and we are delighted to be able to offer them throughout the year. Fully stabilised, and at 37,500 tons, 'Pride of Bilbao' is one of the largest 'cruiseferries' at present sailing from Britain, providing a twice weekly service from Portsmouth to Santurtzi, the docks serving Bilbao. We spend three nights on board - two on the outward journey and one on the return - and there are plenty of activities to entertain passengers of all ages. Onboard facilities are second to none, and include live cabaret entertainment and dancing, quizzes and games, disco music, piano bar, carvery, à la carte and self service restaurants, cafeteria, cinema, casino, shops, hairdresser and beauty salon, smoking and non smoking lounges, quiet areas, a leisure complex with small pool, sauna and solarium, and a children's play area.
Accommodation is provided in two berth cabins with shower and toilet - three or four berth may be available on request and single occupancy and window cabins may be available on request at the appropriate supplement.
Meals are not included, but you can choose from the à la carte restaurant, coffee shop, self service cafeteria and carvery restaurant - a choice to suit all pockets.
The time in Spain allows a few hours ashore, and guided coach excursions may be offered by P&O which can be booked and paid for at reception on board. There are frequent, inexpensive bus and train services into Bilbao from the terminals not far from the dock. For those who wish, the small town of Santurtzi is within walking distance of the ship, and, on a nice day, it is pleasant to sit outside a cafe and enjoy the local atmosphere. There are drinks and other bargains to be had in the local shops (should you be stocking up for a celebration!) which, along with the cafes and bars, will be opening shortly after our scheduled arrival time.
